Fort Wayne Pastor and High School Chaplain Resigns After Sexual Abuse Allegations

The chaplain of Bishop Dwenger High School, who also served as a pastor at a parish in a nearby county has resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor.

In a statement to Fort Wayne’s NBC Monday morning, the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend said it was made aware of allegations against Father David Huneck on Sept. 19.

Whitley County Prosecutor DJ Sigler confirms there is an open investigation involving Huneck but no criminal charges have been filed.
