The Breathtaking Hypocrisy of the USCCB

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) issued a public statement for February 8, 2025, the The International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking. Bishop Mark Seitz, head of the USCCB’s Committee on Migration, stated:

“Human trafficking is not only a serious crime—it is a rejection of the God-given dignity of every human being. It is, as Pope Francis has said, an open wound on the Body of Christ and on the body of all humanity, demanding an ongoing, united response.”

Seitz went on stating:

“The Catholic Church in the United States has long been at the forefront of the fight against human trafficking, and the U.S. bishops stand firmly alongside our Holy Father in his consistent efforts to shed light on this global injustice. As Pope Francis reminds us, we must mobilize our resources in combating trafficking and accompanying those who have been exploited in this way. This must be an ongoing effort of collective vigilance, for if we close our eyes and ears, if we become complacent, we will be held to account at the Last Judgement.”

The duplicity of this man is nauseous. Seitz was one of the top proponents of President Biden’s open borders policy, resulting in over 10 million migrants illegally invading our nation. Biden’s lawless actions resulted in record levels of human sex trafficking and the loss of over 300,000 migrant children.

Under the Biden administration, the USCCB and Catholic NGOs raked-in nearly $3 BILLION in federal funding for immigration-related services, triple the amount under Trump’s first administration. Whether they were aware of it on not, our Bishops and Catholic NGOs were undoubtedly complicit in criminal human trafficking. Is it any wonder the vast majority of our Catholic bishops were completely silent about Biden’s anti-Catholic policies, allowing Biden to continue to propagate the myth that he was a ‘Devout Catholic?’

We urge you to call upon the Trump administration to defund these criminal immigration NGOs and to launch an official investigation into how these NGOs were complicit in these crimes.
