The University of St. Thomas, a private Catholic school in Minnesota, appears to have Islamic washing stations on campus.
Yesterday, Alpha News received a tip that a restroom in St. Thomas’ Anderson Student Center has a watering pot that is for “ritual washing for Muslim prayers.” A photo of the watering pot and an accompanying sign was submitted to Alpha News.
In response to the photo and a media inquiry, St. Thomas sent Alpha News the following statement:
“St. Thomas views welcoming and providing an inclusive environment for students of all faiths (be they Christian, Jewish, Muslim or others) as an expression of its Catholic identity. These efforts include everything from our Bible studies and three daily Catholic Masses to ablution stations.”
