Francis spoke frequently during his pontificate of the spirit, but was he always referring to the Holy Spirit? One of his favorite expressions was to “let the spirit guide us.” But what spirit, exactly? The spirit of fraternity? The spirit of environmentalism? The spirit of discernment, of listening and walking together? The spirit of caring for our common home?
From the beginning of his tenure as pope (and many regard him not as a true pope but a heretic, usurper and antipope), Francis’ one abiding purpose was to proclaim the spirit of synodality as the new way, almost a new gospel. The word “synodality” had not even been heard of prior to Francis. Indeed, the term was never heard of in the Catholic Church before the Second Vatican Council. Synod, yes. But synod – a small council of Christian leaders, often bishops – and synodality (the word does not even show up in the dictionary) are not the same thing – not even close – although their roots derive from the Greek “syn-hodos” meaning roughly the same path taken.
Synodality is something new, a construct manufactured and put in place by certain nefarious men who surreptitiously obtained admittance into the deepest labyrinths of the Church for the express purpose to destabilize and weaken her doctrines and to shine a worldly light devoid of Christ upon her. This vision was brought to full fruition by the puppet pope, Mario Jorge Bergoglio, known as Francis I, and now fostered with utmost care by his successor, Robert Prevost, Leo XIV. Thus, a new church born of the meaning of this new construct was created, it’s PR campaign the rallying call of its meaning, “journeying together.”
Under the stolen auspices of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ, this synodal new temple welcomes all (so long as they put down their arms of tradition and conform completely to the new way), walking with all and condemning no one (except, of course, those traditional souls who follow the True Church of Jesus Christ). There is no place for sin in this counterfeit church. What was once considered evil is now called good, what was once good is now evil; what was once anathema in the eyes of God is now welcomed with cries of joy and open arms. There is no longer One, Supreme, Infinitely Perfect, Eternal, Self-Existing God, the Creator of Heaven and earth and of all things. Now, according to synodality, we are free to believe in and follow multiple gods and demigods as we choose.
