Archbishop Edward Weisenburger has been a long-time proponent of what many see as “open border” immigration policies. He has opposed border wall expansion, protested criminalization of illegal immigration at the state level, marched in anti-ICE demonstrations and even threatened the excommunication of those who enforce our immigration laws. He gaslights those who have the courage to confront him on his actions.
Now the Archbishop has penned a column in the Detroit Free Press that might be laughable if the subject were not so serious. Weisenburger begins by stating his column is a response to individuals who have asked for his opinion of our nation’s immigration procedures (as if people don’t already know his position). He then goes on to describe his personal experience as the Bishop of Tuscon under the Biden administration during which time he oversaw one of the largest human trafficking operations in the nation.
Weisenburger disingenuously claims that every migrant assisted by his diocese was “brought to them by federal agents” and that each “was in possession of valid immigration documents.” He knew full well at the time that the Biden administration was violating U.S. immigration laws and that the so-called “immigration documents” were nothing but a ruse. But this did not stop Weisenburger and other U.S. bishops from accepting billions of federal tax dollars assisting the Biden administration in trafficking millions of illegal aliens throughout our nation. Reporters such as Rachel Campos-Duffy and James O’Keefe helped exposed some of Weisenburger’s undercover migrant housing operations during the peak of the illegal invasion of our nation.
In his column, Weisenburger goes on to condemn recent immigration enforcement incidents being pushed by the leftist mainstream media. He recounts the story of Liam Conejo Ramos, suggesting that enforcement policies are intentionally designed to separate children from their families. He then suggests that the shooting of Renee Good was a homicide (instead of an act of self-defense by an ICE officer) and laments the killing of Alex Pretti (who was latter shown to be a violent extremist). Weisenburger declares that both deaths “appear to have been fatal over-uses of violent force on the part of federal agents.”
Weisenburger concludes by asking “if our nation is losing its very soul” and repeats the tiresome call for “immigration reform.” Weisenburger long ago sold his own soul to the elite ruling class that is seeking to destroy Western civilization through unrestricted mass migration.
