On Jan. 31, 2025, ‘Pope’ Francis appointed 52-year-old Rev. Johannes Freitag (b. 1972) as auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Graz-Seckau, Austria. He was officially (but invalidly, acc. to traditional Catholic criteria) ordained on May 1 during the Novus Ordo sede vacante period.
In his function as auxiliary in Graz-Seckau, Freitag has been working under ‘Bp.’ Wilhelm Krautwaschl, the local ordinary (more on that fellow later).

But not only that: It turns out that at least as of March 24, 2025 — a mere five-and-a-half weeks before the May 1 ordination ceremony of Bishop Freitag — the now-episcopal secretary was still listed as holding the position of secretary general of Graz’s local Jewish community.
You can’t make this stuff up!
