In their prophetic words, they both identified what the cardinal described as Satan’s “frightful strategy of the lie” that is attacking two pillars of creation: marriage and the family.
A video clip circulating online shows Charlie Kirk eloquently explaining the reality of contemporary spiritual warfare and how God’s created order is under demonic attack — insights reminiscent of those shared by the late Cardinal Carlo Caffarra a few years ago.
Speaking to Tucker Carlson last September in front of an audience in Wichita, Kansas, Kirk asked people to consider “all the distinctions that God set up in the first six books of Genesis that are currently under attack: The distinction between male and female, the distinction between man and nature, the distinction between the holy and the profane, the distinction between good and evil, the distinction between infant and adult.”
“These distinctions have always been what Western civilisation was built upon,” Kirk continued, “but it is Satan’s goal to blur and eventually destroy those distinctions, because those distinctions are from which we get order, and if you do not have that order, then you have the closest thing to satanic chaos.”
Kirk’s remarks, which have surfaced amid reports that, just prior to his assassination, he was seriously considering becoming Catholic, echoed similarly prophetic insights Cardinal Caffarra made at a 2017 Rome conference just months before the cardinal himself died.
The respected Italian cardinal, then 78 and archbishop emeritus of Bologna, declared that Satan was hurling at God “the ultimate and terrible challenge” and that his “frightful strategy of the lie” was aimed at constructing an “anti-creation” by principally attacking two pillars of creation: marriage and the family.
This was being achieved firstly through transforming the “crime of abortion into a legal and subjective right,” and secondly through the “ennoblement of homosexuality.”
Cardinal Caffarra stressed that the faithful are called upon to testify to this battle, “hunt down the sin,” condemn it, expose its “insubstantiality,” and proclaim the “Gospel of Life and Marriage.”
