The Office of Policy and Advocacy of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Migration and Refugee Services has published a major document summarizing what they believe to be the adverse consequences that will be suffered by illegal aliens as the result of the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill passed in early July. No, this is not a joke. The document is actually 7 pages long, including over 3,400 words and nearly 20,000 characters.
We attempted to locate similar statements the bishops may have issued during President Biden’s administration critiquing his budget priorities, such as funding for abortion, gender transition procedures and LGBTQ+ education indoctrination. Nothing came close to the amount of ink the bishops have spilled on the immigration issue during Trump’s short time in office.
Perhaps the bishops are experiencing withdrawal symptoms from losing the over $3 billion in illegal alien funding they received under the Biden administration. What else could possibly explain the level of neurosis we are currently seeing from the USCCB?
Imagine what could be accomplished if our bishops showed a similar level of concern for the salvation of souls?
