USCCB Issues Statement in Wake of Stunning Rebuke by JD Vance

On this morning’s episode of CBS’s Face the Nation, JD Vance issued a blistering critique of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) denunciation of Trump’s immigration enforcement initiatives.

This afternoon, the USCCB issued a statement in apparent response to Vance’s criticism. Here’s the tweet from Rich Raho on X:

In seemingly retaliatory strike toward Vance’s, the USCCB says funds for migrant resettlement “are not sufficient to cover the entire cost of these programs.” but work with migrants is “faithful to the teaching of Jesus Christ,” and “is a work of mercy and ministry of the Church.”

 
UNBELIEVABLE. Catholic Bishops are now asking for MORE MONEY, after bilking taxpayers out of nearly $3 BILLION under the Biden Administration. These people are SHAMELESS.
