The Jesuit Order in Ireland has received 93 complaints of physical, emotional and sexual abuse against former priest and teacher Joseph Marmion.
A report published today by the Society of Jesus said the abuse occurred at three Jesuit schools, with 70pc of the complaints relating to Belvedere College in Dublin.
The rest relate to Crescent College in Limerick and Clongowes Wood College in Kildare.
Between 1945 and September 2023, 117 complaints of child sexual abuse were received by the Society against 43 Jesuits, plus Fr Marmion, making a total of 44. Of these 44 Jesuits, 22 had one complaint made against them and 22 had more than one.
