New Report Names Members of Archdiocese of Atlanta Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

A report on the investigation of suspected sexual abuses by Roman Catholic priests was released this week, naming multiple priests who were a part of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Pete Skandalakis, Executive Director of the Prosecuting Attorneys Council (PAC), told Channel 2 Action News in November that his office reviewed close to a hundred allegations and was creating the list.

Attorney General Chris Carr announced the investigation in April 2019, months after the Archdiocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Savannah had agreed to cooperate with the investigation. The terms were laid out in a formal memorandum of understanding.
